Jose Vasquez: 23-year-old fatally injured when car strikes K-rail, overturns down embankment on 210 Freeway

IRWINDALE, CALIFORNIA (July 20, 2026): A 23-year-old man identified as Jose Vasquez was killed early Monday morning after his vehicle struck a K-rail on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway, tore through approximately 200 feet of guardrail, and overturned down an embankment in Irwindale. The California Highway Patrol received the crash report at 1:55 a.m., west of Irwindale Avenue. Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene. A second occupant was reported inside the vehicle at the time of the collision; that person's condition was not immediately known. CHP is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
